Duplicate to fork a site. Archive to hide a site without losing data. Restore archived sites from the Archived tab. Permanent delete requires typing the site slug and removes everything.
Opening the site menu
On Sites, each card has a context menu (right-click or the menu control on the card). Available actions depend on whether the site is active or archived, and on your role.
Duplicate a site
Who: Any member who can edit sites.What happens:
Aveiro creates a new site that copies content, settings, and structure from the original.
The new site gets a new slug (derived from the original name, made unique automatically).
You are redirected to the editor for the new site.
Use duplicate to:
Experiment with a redesign without touching production
Create a staging copy before major changes
Start a second site from a configuration you already like
Duplication counts toward your organization's site quota the same as creating a new site.
Archive a site
Who: Organization owners and admins only.What happens:
The site moves from Active sites to Archived sites.
Content, settings, and analytics history are retained.
The site is no longer front and center in your workflow; public live content may be affected depending on publish state — treat archive as “park this project.”
To archive:
Open the site menu on an active site.
Choose Archive.
Confirm in the dialog.
You can restore the site later unless you permanently delete it.
Archive is not the same as unpublish
Unpublishing hides live pages from visitors but keeps the site active in your dashboard. Archiving removes the site from Active sites entirely. Use editor Settings to unpublish; use Archive when you are done with the project for now.
Restore an archived site
Who: Owners and admins.What happens:
The site returns to Active sites.
All data from before archiving is still there.
Switch to Archived sites on the Sites page.
Open the menu on the archived site.
Choose Restore.
Delete permanently
Who: Owners and admins, from the Archived sites view only.What happens:
The site and all pages, settings, content versions, and related data are removed permanently.
This cannot be undone.
To delete:
Go to Archived sites.
Open the menu → Delete permanently.
Type the site's slug exactly as prompted (the preview domain segment, e.g. my-blog).
Confirm.
A toast confirms when deletion completes.
