From Sites, click New site. Say what the site is for, give it a name and an address, then point Aveiro at your current website, a document or a short description. Aveiro builds the pages from your content, picks a design that fits, brings over your logo and publishes the site.
Open the site wizard
In the dashboard sidebar, click Sites.
Click New site (or the Create a new site card on the grid).
You can go back to change earlier choices until you click Build my site.
Step 1 — What the site is for
Pick what the site is for. It decides which pages and sections Aveiro builds:
Choice
What the site focuses on
Business or services
What you offer, proof such as reviews and clients, prices, questions and how to reach you
Portfolio
Your projects, your services and your clients
Blog
Your posts, and what you write about
Personal page
Who you are and where to find you
Then fill in:
Field
Purpose
Site name
Shown in your dashboard and editor, and used as the site's name
Address
Becomes https://your-slug.aveiro.page — letters, numbers, and hyphens only
The address is suggested from your site name but you can edit it. Aveiro checks that it is valid and available before you continue.
The design: picked for you, or chosen yourself
By default Aveiro picks the design. It chooses the template from the gallery that suits what the site is for and what your content says. Only the template's design is used — layout, colours and fonts. None of its sample text, pictures or logo reach your site.
To choose the design yourself, tick Choose the design myself. Two more steps follow:
Pick a look — choose a template from the gallery, with a live preview
Style your site — choose light or dark, the brand colour, and upload your logo
Step 2 — What to build from
Source
What Aveiro reads
My website
Its main pages: text, images, contact details and the logo in its header. Nothing changes on your website.
A document
A PDF, Markdown or plain text file up to 10 MB — a brochure, a menu, a CV or notes all work
Describe it
A few sentences on what you do, who it is for and how people reach you
You can add notes the source doesn't cover yet, such as a new service, and a contact email to show on the site.
Write it with AI is on by default and included with every plan: AI reads your source and writes the pages. With it off, Aveiro uses only your site name, what you typed and what your website says about itself, and you write the rest in the editor.
Click Build my site.
While it builds
Building usually takes under a minute. Keep the page open until it finishes. Aveiro:
Reads your source
Writes the pages and sections — only facts from your source, never sample text
Adds your images and your logo, and publishes the site
When it's done you can open the editor or view the live site at:
If your plan has no free live site left, the pages are saved as drafts instead and the page says why. If pre-launch mode is on, the build leaves the site private.
If something fails
Common reasons:
Address already taken — choose a different one
Plan or site limit reached — check Billing → Usage or archive an unused site
Your website couldn't be read — it may block automated visits; try a document or a description instead
If the build fails, the site is still there with a Home page holding its name. You can try again with another source.
Rebuild a site
In the editor, open Settings and click Rebuild with AI to write the site again from a new source. Pages an earlier build made are replaced; pages you added yourself stay, and the site keeps its design.
What to do in the editor first
Open the homepage from the Pages panel and read it through.
Edit text in Visual mode or ask AI for changes.
Adjust colours, fonts and your logo in the Styles panel.
