Settings → Visitor login turns on a floating Aveiro avatar on your published site — including pre-launch coming-soon pages. Visitors tap it for a short explainer, then sign in through Aveiro. Signed-in visitors get an account menu; the visitor assistant bubble (AI and/or human chat) appears when enabled in Settings → Visitor assistant.
Where to find it
Open your site in the editor and go to Settings. The Visitor login section sits below Analytics.
Enable visitor login
Turn on Enable visitor login.When enabled:
Anonymous visitors on any published public URL see a floating Aveiro avatar (same visual weight as the signed-in menu bubble). This includes pre-launch (coming soon) mode — visitors on your coming-soon page get the same login chrome as on a fully live site.
Tapping the bubble opens a panel that explains:
Authentication is powered by Aveiro
After sign-in they can manage all their Aveiro site subscriptions in one place
They can chat with site owners when support chat is enabled
A Sign in button at the bottom starts the auth flow and returns them to the same page.
When disabled, the floating chrome is hidden on the public site.Changes save automatically as a draft. Publish Site settings for the live site to pick up the toggle and position.
Button position
Choose Bottom right or Bottom left.The login chrome shares a corner with your layout’s Built with Aveiro branding bar when both align on the same side — Aveiro lifts the button slightly so the two controls do not overlap. On coming-soon pages, branding is on by default; hide it per page in Page settings → Layout overrides if you prefer a cleaner corner.
Support chat (when enabled) stacks above the avatar menu in the same corner — not on the opposite side of the screen. Human support chat is available on coming-soon pages once site settings are published; the AI visitor assistant only appears after the site is fully live (coming soon mode off).
Signed-in state
After a visitor signs in:
The Aveiro bubble becomes their avatar menu with name, email, a link to the Aveiro dashboard, and Sign out.
If your organization has visitor support chat enabled and the site toggle is on, a chat button appears above the menu.
If visitor assistant is enabled, visitors also get the AI and/or human chat bubble in the same corner.
Visitors who are not signed in never see the human chat button.
Email Signup on the same site
When an Email Signup component is on the page, a signed-in visitor on that site gets their email and name pre-filled from the visitor session. If they are already an active subscriber for that site’s list, the form shows a subscribed confirmation instead of asking again.
This uses the same Audience list as anonymous signups — visitor login only changes the UX, not which list receives the contact. See Audience overview.
Auth and custom domains
Sign-in uses Aveiro’s auth bridge: visitors briefly authenticate on the platform domain, then return to your site with a session cookie bound to your hostname. This works on:
Aveiro preview URLs (*.aveiro.page)
Custom domains connected in site settings
The bridge only accepts return URLs that point to a published site you control.
Privacy and consent
Enabling visitor login means visitors authenticate through Aveiro and may use chat. You should:
Link to your privacy policy from the site
Describe login and chat processing in that policy
Accept the support chat data processing agreement before chat goes live — see Visitor support chat
