Pages Overview

In short

Pages is your site file tree. Folders are collections; MDX files are pages. Click a page to edit it, open settings for metadata, or use Add new for pages and collections.

Opening the Pages panel

Click the Pages icon on the editor left rail (second from top). You see:

File tree — nested collections and pages
Add new — create a page or collection
Sort — order pages by manual drag, name, or recent edits

The panel header reads Manage pages and collections.

File tree basics

Collections appear as folders with a display name
Pages are .mdx files — click to open in the editor
Homepage is typically index.mdx at the site root (/)
Coming soon and other system paths may be reserved — see page settings

Drag rows to reorder when sort mode is Manual.

Settings entry points

Each page and collection has Settings:

Page settings — title, summary, tag, URL path, layout overrides, cover image
Collection settings — display name, URL segment, layout template, sort mode

Opening settings replaces the tree view until you tap Back.

Sort modes

Mode	Behavior
Manual	Drag-and-drop order — used for navigation and Collection blocks
Name (A–Z / Z–A)	Alphabetical by page title or file name
Recently edited	Most recently updated pages first
Recently published	Newest `publishedAt` first — matches Collection cards that show publish dates

Collection settings can override site-wide sort for that folder.

Selection and bulk actions

Multi-select pages (where supported) to delete or operate on several files. Clear selection with Esc. Copy / paste page — copy a page from the tree and paste it into another collection to duplicate structure quickly.
