Use the new-site wizard or Settings → Rebuild with AI to write section-based pages from your website, a document, or a description — template for look only.
In the new-site wizard, choose a template look, then point Aveiro at your public website, a PDF/Markdown/text file, or a written description. Build my site extracts facts, writes section-based pages, imports images, and can publish when your plan allows. Rebuild anytime from Settings.
When to use it
Use Build my site when you already have content somewhere else — an old homepage, a PDF brochure, or notes in a doc — and want a polished Aveiro site without retyping everything. The wizard still needs a template in step 2, but only for design: header layout, section components, typography, and colors. Sample text from the gallery is not copied into your site.

What you choose
1 — Site details
Name, preview slug, and intent (business, portfolio, blog, or personal)
2 — Pick a look
Required template card from the gallery
3 — Style your site
Presets, logo, and live preview
4 — What to build from
Website URL, document upload, or description, then **Build my site**
Reads the home page and up to seven additional same-site pages selected for your intent. Fetches run through Aveiro's SSRF-protected crawler — only public pages you can already visit.
A document
PDF, `.md`, `.markdown`, or `.txt` up to 10 MB
Text is extracted server-side; images in PDFs are not imported automatically.
Describe it
Free text (minimum length enforced in the UI)
Best when you do not have a site yet. Add optional notes for services or dates the description skips.
Optional contact email is placed in header and footer CTAs when the source supports it.
Write it with AI
The Write it with AI toggle defaults to on.
On — Aveiro runs a short pipeline: extract facts, build a JSON brief (Lite plans and above), optionally draft headings and button labels (Max plans), then write MDX through the same section components you would add manually in the editor. Sections appear only when the brief supports them, so you do not get empty pricing tables or fake testimonials.
Off — Pages use your site name, your typed description, and text extracted from the URL or file. You finish copy in the editor.
Site builds are recorded in usage telemetry with the feature:site_build tag and do not consume AI credits.
While the build runs
After you click Build my site, Aveiro responds immediately and runs the build in the background. The Building your site screen polls status and shows three stages:
Reading your website, document, or description
Writing your pages (brief and copy steps on AI-enabled builds)
Adding images and publishing — imports images into the media library, writes pages, sets SEO defaults, and publishes when your organization has a free live-site slot
Keep the progress page open until the build finishes or fails. If you navigate away, reopen the build from the editor once status catches up.
Rebuilds
Each site allows three builds (the first creation plus two rebuilds). Workspaces can start ten builds per rolling day.
To rebuild:
Open the site in the editor.
Go to Settings → Site.
Click Rebuild with AI.
Rebuilds replace pages earlier builds created. If you already added your own page where a new page needs to go, Aveiro moves your page to a new path and lists the new locations on the progress screen.
You can also open /{organizationId}/sites/new?rebuild={siteId} from automation links inside the product.
Publish behavior
When your plan still has capacity for another live site, a successful build can publish site settings and pages automatically. If a limit blocks publish, the build still writes drafts — open Settings → Publish or publish individual pages when you are ready.
When a build fails
Only an unreadable source fails the build entirely. Model errors fall back to your own words. The site keeps its Home page; open the editor to fix content or start a rebuild with a different source.
Common fixes:
URL — use a public https:// site; login walls and empty pages do not extract well.
Document — re-export as text-first PDF or paste into a .md file.
Description — add concrete services, location, and contact paths.
