Ads is a beta dashboard section for organization-wide sponsored banners. Create inventory once, upload creatives per aspect ratio, book placements per site, and enable slots on layout templates in the editor. Counts are cookieless. Nothing renders until a template opts in.
What ads covers
Aveiro Ads lets a multi-site organization run sponsored banners from one inventory:
Organization inventory — ads with an internal name, HTTPS destination, and flight window
Creatives — image or video per aspect ratio (4/5, 3/2, 16/9, 3/1), with optional light and dark artwork
Site bookings — which ads run on which sites and in which slots
Template placements — master switch, per-placement toggles, and chrome overrides on each layout template; the disclosure label is site-wide
Performance — cookieless impression and click counts in Dashboard → Ads → Performance
Ads complement monetization paywalls — they are display inventory on live sites, not gated content.
Enable the feature
Ads is beta and off by default:
An Aveiro admin grants the Ads beta flag to your organization (contact support if you do not see it).
Open Organization → Features and enable Ads.
On each site, open Layout, edit a template, and switch on Ads under Engagement — bookings alone do not render until the template enables the slot
Members need the Manage ads capability (owners and admins have it by default).
The Ads sidebar item appears under your organization dashboard.
Placements
Each placement has a fixed aspect ratio so slots stay CLS-free — the box is sized before a creative loads.

An ad can only serve a placement when it has a creative at that placement's ratio. Uploading a ratio no placement uses produces artwork that never serves.
Opt-in per site
Shipping ads must not start showing banners on existing sites:
The site master switch and every placement default to off in Editor → Layout → Ads
Organization bookings only matter where the site has the slot enabled
Impressions and clicks flow through the same cookieless analytics pipeline as page views — no cookies, bots excluded, visitors with Global Privacy Control not counted. Open Ads → Performance for 7-, 30-, or 90-day ranges with per-placement breakdown.
Sponsorship orders (beta)
Publishers can package placement inventory into term-based sponsorship deals. The server-side payment path is live: slots are held before checkout, Stripe charges the publisher's connected account with a platform application fee, and fulfilment activates bookings on payment or releases them on refund. The self-serve advertiser storefront in the dashboard is still rolling out.
