AI Overview

Meet Quasar — the AI assistant built into the editor for writing, structuring, and updating your site.

Chat and Suggestions
In short
Quasar is the AI tab in the editor (default when you open a site). Ask it to create pages, rewrite copy, adjust styles, or update layout. It uses tools to change your site — you review and apply or revert each change.

What Quasar can do

Quasar understands your current site — pages, folders, layout, and styles. Typical requests:
  • Write or rewrite page content and headlines
  • Create new pages or collections
  • Reorder pages within a collection, move pages between folders, or change folder sort mode
  • Update page metadata (title, summary, tag)
  • Adjust site styles or layout settings
  • Generate images (when enabled on your plan)
  • Publish or unpublish pages when you explicitly ask
It works through tools (structured actions) rather than only suggesting text you paste manually.

Opening AI chat

Click the Quasar icon (first item) on the editor left rail. The chat stays mounted when you switch tabs — your conversation and any in-progress response remain available when you come back.

Chat tabs

You can run multiple chat threads per site (up to the limit shown in the UI). Use New chat for a fresh context — useful when switching from homepage work to a unrelated task. Delete old chats from the tab strip when you no longer need them.

Attachments

The composer supports image attachments from your computer or site library — helpful for reference layouts or replacing media. PDF attachments work on Quasar Max only; on Lite, attach images for visual reference. Limits apply to count and total size per message.

Models and usage

Choose a model tier from the composer:

Usage meters show how many AI generations remain this billing period. The popover's Resets in N days follows your organization's billing anniversary — the same window as Billing → Usage, not the calendar 1st. Upgrade or top up from the model menu when you hit limits.
Plan limits
AI usage is metered per organization per billing period. When you reach the limit, chat may be restricted until your plan resets on your billing anniversary or you upgrade. Check Billing → Usage for the exact reset date.

How changes are applied

When Quasar proposes edits, you see change cards on the assistant message:
  • Apply — run the change on your site
  • Revert — undo an applied change
  • Revert all — roll back everything from that turn
Some destructive actions (deletes, publishes) may require explicit confirmation. MDX content changes often apply automatically with undo available.
Read Working with AI changes for the full workflow.

Tips for good prompts

  • Be specific — "Rewrite the homepage hero for a B2B SaaS audience" beats "make it better."
  • Name the page — "Update /about summary for SEO" helps Quasar target the right file.
  • One goal per message when possible — easier to review changes.
  • Open the page you care about — context includes the active file when relevant.
