From Sites, click New site. Enter a name and preview URL, pick a template (or start blank), choose initial styles, then Create Site. Aveiro opens the editor so you can start editing right away.
Open the site wizard
In the dashboard sidebar, click Sites.
Click New site (or the Create a new site card on the grid).
The wizard has three steps. You can go back to change earlier choices before creating the site.

The slug is suggested from your site name but you can edit it. Aveiro checks that the slug is valid and available before you continue.Click Continue when both fields look good.
Step 2 — Pick a template
Browse the template gallery. Each template is a starting layout and sample content suited to a use case (documentation, blog, portfolio, and others).You can:
Select a template to clone its structure and starter pages
Start from scratch if you prefer an empty canvas
Click Continue when you have made a choice.
Step 3 — Style your site
Adjust initial style presets — primary colors, links, and related tokens. This is a preview of how the site will feel; you can refine everything later in the editor Styles panel.When you are happy with the preview, click Create Site.
After creation
Aveiro saves the site and opens the editor for that site. You should see your pages in the left panel and a live preview on the right.
Your site gets a default URL:
Visitors only see content after you publish — new sites start as drafts. See Key concepts for how drafts and live content work.
If creation fails
Common reasons:
Slug already taken — choose a different preview domain
Plan or site limit reached — check Billing → Usage or archive an unused site
Invalid slug format — use only lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens
Fix the issue on the step indicated and try again.
What to do in the editor first
Open the homepage from the Pages panel.
Edit text in Visual mode or ask AI for help with copy and layout.
