Audience Agents and API
In short
Audience → Overview is your subscriber table. Filter by status, site, segment, and engagement. Import lists, bulk archive or unsubscribe, open a row for engagement detail.

The subscriber table

Audience → Overview lists subscribers with columns such as:
Column
Meaning
EmailPrimary identifier
SegmentsTags applied to this contact
SiteWhich site list they joined
SubscribedWhen they opted in
StatusActive, unsubscribed, archived, or bounced
Open / click rateEngagement from past campaigns
Last activityMost recent open, click, or send
Click a row to open the subscriber detail page.

Search and filters

Filter
Options
SearchEmail or name — debounced as you type
StatusAll, active, unsubscribed, archived
SiteAll sites or one site's list
SegmentAll segments or one tag
EngagementEngaged, active, dormant, cold, bounced, unsubscribed, archived, objected
Changing filters clears row selection to prevent bulk mistakes.

Sorting

Click column headers to sort by created, subscribed, open rate, click rate, or last activity. Sort applies to the full filtered set, not just the current page.

Pagination

Choose 10 / 25 / 50 / 100 per page. Footer shows range and total count.

Bulk actions

Select rows (or Select all matching filters) to:
Action
Effect
ArchiveHide from active lists — restorable
UnarchiveReturn to active lists
SubscribeRe-subscribe unsubscribed contacts in selection
UnsubscribeOpt out active contacts in selection
DeletePermanent removal — cannot be undone
Manage segmentsAdd or remove segment tags for selection
Large selections process in chunks server-side.

Import subscribers

Click Import subscribers on Overview:
  • Choose CSV, TXT, or JSON (one email per line or structured JSON)
  • Pick the site list they belong to
  • Optionally assign a segment
  • Optionally send welcome email to imports (counts against credits — off by default for migrations)
Duplicates are skipped; the toast reports imported vs skipped counts.
Expected CSV shape: email, name with one row per subscriber.

Subscriber detail

The detail page shows:
  • Subscription status, source path, referrer, consent timestamps
  • Engagement metrics — sends, opens, clicks, rates
  • Segments membership
  • Optional location insights (when enabled org-wide and not objected)
  • Profiling opt-out switch — subscriber can object to engagement profiling (erases derived profile data)
Open rates
Apple Mail Privacy Protection and similar features can inflate open rates. Use clicks and engagement status alongside opens when judging interest.

Engagement statuses

EngagedRecent opens or clicks
ActiveReceiving mail, moderate activity
DormantLittle recent activity
