In short
Analytics → Overview shows traffic for your organization. Filter by site and date range. Metrics compare the selected period to the previous period of the same length. Data comes from published sites with tracking enabled.

Where to find it

Open Analytics → Overview from the dashboard sidebar. This is the default analytics landing page.

Prerequisites

Analytics only collects data when:
  • The site is published and receiving public traffic
  • Track visitors and events is enabled in Editor → Settings → Analytics
Tracking is cookieless and anonymous, so there is no consent banner and every visit is counted. Editor preview and draft URLs do not count as normal public traffic. See Analytics and privacy.

Filters

Use the filters in the page header on every analytics sub-page (except Live, which has no date range):
Filter
Options
SiteAll sites (org total) or one specific site
Date rangeLast 7, 14, 30, or 90 days (default 30 days)
Changing filters refreshes all charts and tables on the page.

Key metrics

The overview cards show totals for the selected period, with change vs the previous period (same number of days immediately before):
Metric
Meaning
VisitorsUnique visitors in the period
Page viewsTotal pageview events
Avg. durationAverage time on page (from duration beacons)
Bounce rateShare of sessions with minimal engagement
Green or red deltas indicate improvement or decline vs the comparison window.

Traffic chart

The line chart plots page views and visitors per day across the selected range. Hover points for daily values. An empty chart means no traffic yet in that window.

Breakdowns

Below the chart:
  • Referrers — top traffic sources (domains). Empty referrer counts as Direct.
  • Devices — desktop, mobile, tablet share
  • Browsers — top browser families
Each breakdown shows relative bars and percentages.

No data yet?

If you see No analytics data yet:
  • Confirm the site is live and you visited the public URL
  • Confirm analytics tracking is on in site Settings
  • Allow a few minutes for first events to appear
The overview may offer Generate test data in empty states for exploration — that inserts sample events for development, not real visitor traffic.

Sub-pages

Page

Privacy note

Analytics is cookieless: nothing is stored on or read from the visitor's device. Visitors are counted with a hashed identifier that rotates daily, raw IP addresses are never stored, and Global Privacy Control signals are honored as an opt-out. You are responsible for disclosing analytics in your site privacy policy.
